The NFL has implemented random drug testing to insure that the steroids epidemic that has hit professional sports over the years is regulated in the league, but this may be going over the line a bit.

Washington Redskins back up quarterback Kirk Cousins tweeted that he was subjected to the random drug testing Wednesday, in the friendly confines of his grandparent’s home:

Kirk Cousins @KirkCousins8
NFL's off-season drug testing at my grandma's town-home! I'm all for a clean game but weird having a stranger watch u in your own bathroom

Talk about up close and personal. Makes you wonder where else the league might pop up with a clear cup and request you to relieve yourself on the spot.

oh wow, a bit weird indeed. Wonder how the tester got to that location? Is the NFL like the FBI tracking people of interest at all times? Or did the guy just show up at Kirk's house and not get an answer and call Kirk's cell phone and get directions to grammy's?

I'd imagine this was somewhere in Michigan

How about ensure not insure unless you have a policy out.

I guess the NFL has the same requirements like most pro sports that do these tests, so they require their athletes to register any (extended) stay away from home and/or team facilities.

The NFL will go out of its way to try to nail Cousins. NFL wants RG version 42 to be a star so bad and they look at Cousins as a threat. The media can't get enough of RG 42. They want to talk as much as possible about him as if they do not see the obvious future for the guy.

Really, he is just 23 or 24 and it is already in doubt if he will start the next season. He is supposed to be a franchise quarterback. How do you think it will be when he is 27? geeze
