NFL is the worst, but it's pretty much the only reason they televise sports.

These games have no more commercials then the regular season games.
As a matter of fact in some cases they have less commercials then in the regular season because sometimes they break to another game when normally they would go to commercials.

This is nothing compared to MNF

The difference is the NFL has more natural stoppages of play such as change of possession. NCAA games are about TV timeouts. Naturally the worse is the end of the game where timeouts are called seemingly after each basket. With so many timeouts in college baskets you really never have to take out your best players for a blow. Hockey and soccer are the least disruptive sports for stoppages.

Basketball is natural.

Under 16, under 12, under 8, under 4, and halftime.
Repeat the same process for the second half.

And commercials when a time out is called. Just like football.

And for the end of the game.
Its the same in football.
You have the 2 min warning and a lot of timeouts near the end on a close game.

Bang for buck:
Hockey one hour of action in a two and a half hour time frame
Nba 48 min in 3 hrs (street ball dunking is boredom)
Nfl ten minutes in four hours

just heard gottlieb comment on the length of the timeouts, up to 1 minute longer, affecting the momentum of the games

so its not just a illusion, no more timeouts just longer timeouts. may be contributing to the lack of scoring

It's brutal...football is sometimes also...they will have a td, commercial, kickoff, commerical....thats annoying.

The tv timeouts in college hoops are brutal. I have become less of fan of college basketball over the years. The 3 point shot and free throws is pretty much the entire college hoops game. I always think the first 13-15 mins of the half are kick out 3 point shots and the rest of the half are foul shots. The only thing i really like about the college game is the enthusiasm from teams and fans....other than that....i could do without.
