I like a lot this Dodgers, the Line-up is probably in the top3 of the MLB.

1. Carl Crawford – LF
2. Hanley Ramirez – SS
3. Adrian Gonzalez – 1B
4. Matt Kemp – CF
5. Andre Ethier – RF
6. Mark Ellis/ Skip Schumaker – 2B
7. Luis Cruz – 3B
8. A.J. Ellis – C
9. Pitcher

They have fast runners, sluggers, that lineup is scary and the first 5 is in my opinion the best half lineup of the MLB. Crawford and Ramirez to reach base and steal bases. Adrian Gonzalez who has the best AVG with RISP. Matt Kemp one of the best HR hitters. Andre Ethier is improving his WAR each season.

The pitching rotation is probably the best. Kershaw, Greinke, Beckett, Ryu, Capuano, Billingsley, Capuano, Lilly, Harang. (The rotation have a lot of posibilities but the first 4 are not removable except fade or injury).

The bullpen is really good too. It mixes experience and talent.

This post is a good preview of the dodgers: http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=948918&p=9918387&viewfull=1#post9918387

I like a lot this team and the odds to win world series, division, NL pennant have value.

I expect them to win around 98-100 games, Over 91.5 +110 :dancefool

Josh Beckett will be more than a "name." I've been saying he's overrated for the past few years now, but last year changed my mind. VERY impressive in his short first stint as a Dodger at the tail-end of last year, and I think being back in the NL will do wonders for him physically and mentally. People have renaissance seasons all the time, and I see no reason why Beckett can't be one of those certain people in 2013. I see him having a comeback year similar to what Edinson Volquez did last year in his first season as a Padre. I wish I could bet on it but there's no prop for him anywhere. In any case, mark my words: Josh Beckett will have a significantly productive season as a strong force in the Dodger rotation.

In my MLB Preview, I have the Dodgers winning the division. It sucks they lost Carl Crawford for as long as they did, thanks to the sham known as the WBC, but they can survive in the meantime. If anything, maybe delaying their hot streak can be a good thing, as they jumped out of the gate last year extremely hot, and look where it got them: On the golf course with the other teams that didn't make the playoffs. But Hanley/A-Gon/Kemp/Ethier is still one of the best cores of an offense in the league, while they have fine roleplayers who complete their niche well in AJ Ellis (Calls a good game; hits for average when healthy, as we saw in last year's first half) and Mark Ellis/Skip Schumaker (Very solid second basemen. Can Skip play the outfield to fill in for Crawford?). And maybe they can bring back Bobby Abreu to fill in for Crawford, as Abreu looked excellent at times last year. The only dead bat they have in their lineup is Luis Cruz, who may have impressed last year, but I thought that was more of a fluke. The kid offers nothing considerable and already hit his ceiling last year when he impressed some people. That's the only area I think where they need to upgrade.

Good luck with your Dodger bet(s). I really do think there's something here with this club. We may not see it until they get Crawford back, however.

I agree. Beckett will add experience in close games.

He had a bad season in 2012 but that season was a disaster in general terms to all BoSox players.

He was traded late and started 7 games with an ERA of 2.93.

Do you think Puig will crack the starting lineup at some point this season. And if so, when?

I don't know. The outfield is full ethier/kemp/crawford. It's hard that Puig have a chance, but can play some games as pinch runner or in the starting lineup if one or more OF's is injuried or resting.

He has a lot of competition, will have to win his chances to play.

Crawford has not been that impressive to me.

Ethier is injury prone. And really has trouble hitting certain pitchers.

Kemp, although considered one of the best in the game today, I view as overrated.

IMO Puig could be this years Mike Trout if given the AB's.

He has only 82 AB in minors. .354 15 RBI 5 HR 8-5 SB-CS

Mike Trout had 1117 AB in Minors in 4 years.

Careers that are so accelerated rarely end well.

Puig need more games in Minors and if needed some appearance in the Dodgers.

Good info.

I feel the talent is there but you maybe right about him needing some more ab's in the minors.

I don't agree with the value IMO
I'm playing under 92 wins...

I don't see Puig contributing this year.
Crawford- I'll believe he is healthy when I see it and I haven't seen it yet.
Greinke- This has train wreck written all over it. Sore elbow already (bone spurs?), is about average vs Lefties and had a 3.91 era on the road last yr. Not bad, but not Mr Superstar either, and this is a guy who had to sit out a year and almost quit the game because of anxiety disorder. Now he has to pitch in LA and earn his 25M per. Good Luck with that.
Kershaw- Stud
Kemp- is this shoulder really healthy?
Adrian -His bat speed was down last year, was it an injury or is he past his peak?
Hanley- Injured and is a known Diva. Also will be the worst defensive ss in mlb by far.
3b- Cruz? maybe the worst starting 3b in mlb?
Either & Beckett -Looking for good bounce back years from both.
Billingsly- Don't believe he is healthy either.
Backup 1B ? Is it Hariston?
Team Leader?

I see a great core of players and probably a good team but not one that should be valued so highly, especially when the Giants are the competition (I took sf +200 to win west). The pressure is on and if things don't go right this is gonna be a pressure cooker really fast.
