T-Mobile ditches girl who donned pink dress from campaign
The cell phone company’s longtime spokesperson, Carly Foulkes, also known as ‘T-Mobile Girl’, did not appear in T-Mobile’s new ad campaign, nor was she at the phone company’s New York City event announcing its new pricing strategy, according to a reports by Business Insider and Huffington Post.
The company told Business Insider that the actress will not be featured in its latest round of ads, but “she is still part of the company’s brand family,” which BI interprets as the wireless carrier’s goodbye to its “T-Mobile Girl” icon.

Foulkes debuted as T-Mobile’s girl in pink in fall 2010. But according to Huffington Post, T-Mobile is now taking a “new direction for the brand”, which likely means the 24-year-old actress won’t be featured anytime soon.
Reinventing T-Mobile
The wireless carrier recently announced that it would drop its two-year contract plan and replace it with a less expensive per month model in an effort to reinvent itself among competitors AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. The company is also going to offer the iPhone for the first time in April.
