Rangers vs. Astros
For all of the newbies out there:
There are a few tools I use when capping a game. Below are two that are very important to me.
Espn.com's "Bat vs. Pitch" feature. I would highly recommend utilizing this when capping a game. Here are the links to tonight's game:

http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/28965/matt-harrison
As you can see, most batters do not have much experience against tonight's pitchers. That would indicate to me that batters may have a hard time figuring out the pitcher the first couple of ABs....could be a slow start to the game as far as runs go. Otherwise, not much there to go on here. Many times pitchers have a long history against certain teams and you can tell how hitters have handled them in the past. Something to take into consideration.
Don't forget to pay attention to the weather! Another great tool that is a must is:

Of course, the wind is irrelevant to tonight's game as Minute Maid Park has a roof so no need to check this out; however, something to use in the future. For me, I pay attention to winds blowing in or out at least 15 mph or greater.
Personally, I watch teams for the first two series before I start playing. That way they have a chance to go through their rotations and give me an idea of what to maybe expect...at least from the get go.
BOL!
