Obviously Gretzky and Jordan are the best.

Who's 2nd ?

I'd lean to Gordie Howe and ( i know i'll take some grief ) Kobe Bryant . Magic a very close 3rd.

Bobby Orr was the greatest hockey player I ever saw. Gretzky would be 2nd. No opinion on NBA. Too many great players over the years to say who was the greatest ever...

Gretzky is no question the greatest player to have ever played. No one comes close. No one!

There's a few that could be considered #2. Mario, Howe, Messier and Orr

2 guys that have only won 1 title each.. interesting..
titles are a small factor actual skill level of the player is number one......and chop having lebron as number one is fine too.....he may get more titles soon also..........robert horry isnt better than elgin balylor so titles are what they are..more of a team accomplishment

definitely Mario Lemieux, if not for his health woes, he would have taken down a couple of Wayne's records.

Bobby Orr dominated games.....as a defenseman. If not for knee injuries, he would have been the most dominant player ever. I can't separate him and Gretzky.

I'm curious how old you are and how often you saw Orr play?

I was young enough remember watching Orr play on TV and he was great. Not taking anything away from him whatsoever but come on. Put away you Boston cap for a minute. Gretzky changed the game like no ever has. No one is even close to him in total points and NHL records. No one will beat his total career points.
