Ahhhh the smell of baseball money is in the air. I post plays of other sports recreationally, but baseball season is normally where I make all the money I blow on other sports, haha. ML sports are to be approached with a sense of value. Pitching match-ups, weather, and park dimensions are all taken in account. With an abundance of statistics, baseball is a numbers game. I expect my numbers to be in the black for most if not all of the season.
My approach to baseball is a system of 1-5 Units plays (1 being weakest, 5 being strongest). I generally don't give writeups for my plays because I am a pretty busy man, but I will field any questions about my picks so feel free to ask.
I'm not taking any opening night action, but I do like some early lines for tomorrow to catch before there is movement.
Pirates -130 (3 Units)
The Pirates are solid in home openers, and I expect them to have a decent run at the NL Central this season. There will be value in this team for the first couple of weeks.
Rockies/Brewers OVER 7.5 (2 Units)
I don't like playing overs on opening day, but Chacin's Spring numbers are pretty awful and Gallardo has been less than stellar in his 4 previous opening day starts.
Tigers -1.5 (-120) (2 Units)
Liking this lineup and Verlander to win by at least 2 runs here against Worley and the Twins.
