Monday: 1-0, + 2.26 units (Seattle game pending)
Seattle. 2 units. ML (+130) Anderson looked great for the A's Monday. Wicked curve, off-speed, and a well placed fastball. The Mariners did well enough to get 2 runs off of him, and hit some balls hard. Also Seattle showed much more patience. Jarrod Parker has been awful this spring. Poor control, homers, and in fact looked like this last spring- then was sent to AAA. There is concern whether he is ready for the regular season. I expect Seattle will get to him, and after Anderson, Parker will look very hittable. Iwakuma pitched very well 2nd half last year, and is feeling confident, with excellent control this spring. He won't go long, but M's bullpen can finish. Seattle's bats will break out one game and I think this will be it.
Colorado. One unit (+136). Yes, their bullpen blew it Monday, but the Brewers bullpen is likely worse(it was last year). Brewers were fairly awful this spring, hitting-wise and in the field. They often only hit when facing a minor leaguer or below average pitcher. Corey Hart will be missed, and Rickie Weeks continues to be overrated. The Rockies have a much more potent lineup, and I think De La Rosa has pitched well this spring and has finally found some composure. Hopefully, the Rockies can cobble together enough relief to win this. Estrada, the Brewers starter, has control issues, but good stuff- and won't go long into the game either.
