Closest would be Harrah's in Metropolis, Illinois a little over 2 hours from Nashville.

Last time I went, several years ago, roulette ball got 'stuck' or 'magnetized' on the wheel, was jittering around and wouldn't land...'roller' or dealer whatever sort of rolled her eyes and gave the very slyest grin over to one of the floor managers...very shady looking. Anyway not a lot of tables like BJ etc...but enough I guess for their business. Seems to cater mostly to slot players, cant smoke in the casino anymore either. Had just added a poker section when I last went, that seemed to be booming

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are mainstream tourist traps and are an eyesore. People go there for lack of imagination. Same goes for Harrah's Casino over in Cherokee. Both are classified as the armpits of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

Black hole for gambling..kentucky downs has instant racing terminals..thats in Franklin, KY about an hour from Nashville. Nothing else doing within a short drive
