What's the longest you have ever stayed awake without sleep? And why

No drugs.

im 24 hours into it right now and have about 7-8 hours before ill get 3 hours of sleep. I could have slept about 2.5 hours but figured that would make it harder.

Had to do it cause I have a child and had to work till 4am. I typically get 5 hours of sleep per night. Lights out at 1am and awake at 640am mon-fri

I once stayed up 42+ hrs (in Vegas of course) and then proceeded to sleep for the next 16hrs.
Gonna be interesting to see how many poker grinders and meth heads we have on here. @)

36 hours or so...worked all day and partied all night - then went back to work on no sleep. No drugs.

Roughly 49 hours in Vegas. I wouldn't advise it. Made some very bad decesions.

I know you said no Drugs.... but what about a Medication that the Doctor asked me to try for a herniated disc problem.
( thinking some kind of pill to make you sleepy )

Anyway... started taking this pill and stayed up for over 96 FUKING HOURS !!!

I was out of my Mind !! and the kicker was, I felt tired... but couldn't fall a sleep !

in that time, I played Online Poker, watched a Ton of TV, paced the House...

and every few hours i was like, good I'm tired I'll go to sleep... but couldn't.
I looked like a Zombie ... red eyes.... oh, and hardly ate a thing in that time.

Outside of that... i've done the 36-48 hour thing where I went out after work, then went straight to work the next day then out again.... and Crashed... slept for 12 Hours.

i stayed up for 5 straight days in vegas with no sleep before outside of maybe just when you catch your head falling as your sitting bc your basically passing out while sitting up. i finally crashed hard, but i had alot of red bull running through me. i finally started getting nose bleeds from the lack of sleep on the trip+ all the booze

about 72 hours.

Stayed up for 2 straight days my senior year of college working on a 62 page project, then had to drive alone from Bloomington, IN to Orlando the next day. By the time I hit the florida turnpike, I was seeing hallucinations on the road. I kept thinking animals were jumping out in front of my car. I got a weird last burst of energy when I arrived in Orlando, but the next day I slept for about 16 hours.

Damn, y'all have pulled some serious lack of sleep. I've pulled my share of all nighters drinking, but I have no idea how y'all drink all night and go to work the next day without sleep.

I always used to say and friends agreed, that when on spring break or whatever, when you are sleep deprived, it is almost like a high in itself esp. when mixed with other party favors.

Stayed up for 3 days partying in Havasu for spring break. Guys decided we were over it already & wanted to drive back to Vegas in the middle of the night. I took on the challenge. No idea how I managed to do it, halfway through I remember not knowing what side of the road I was supposed to be on. Thank God there was little to no oncoming traffic at that hour or I probably wouldn't be typing this right now.

i haven't done anything close to you guys...probably in the 30 hour range in my youth

however, now when I hit 20 hours I start to get headaches and get that hangover feeling

Damn sorry to hear that. My father just had his second stroke last week and had surgery yesterday to try and prevent any future ones.

Was getting phone calls all day from family, had to deal with 6 different doctors.. Spent the last few nights with him cause drs said it could be any minute now...
Had to Much to do... Couldn't sleep..

I made it 29.5 hours today. Got to bed at 11am and got 3 hours of sleep, now back at work till midnight. I drank a big ass coffee at 3am, a monster energy drink and one a day energy vitamin at 730am. Kinda had the jitters before I got to sleep, actually don't feel too bad at all now. Should sleep good tonight
