They all take a lot of shit, and some are better then others. In what sport are they most incompetent overall?

I'm tempted to go boxing considering how corrupt it is, but overall I have to say NBA. Some of the calls are downright ridiculous.

I give MLB umpires the benefit of the doubt since they don't have instant replay and a strike zone is somewhat subjective.

Some of the first base calls are pretty laughable though. Gallarga's missed perfect game is still the worst call i've ever seen

But that's the thing Justin.... each umpire makes up THEIR OWN strike zone and deliberately ignores what its supposed to be.
Even worse is that MLB allows it...

It depends on the agenda..If a game or an event was fixed then the officiating was going to be fixed and awful anyway..case in point, boxing matches and UNLV-DUKE 91 semi's

Why not just have an electronic strike zone so all strike zones will be same. With technology, this could easily be done. saved a lot of time and arguing in tennis once they did it. Runs would prob. be up to so I would assume MLB would like more runs like NFL likes more points.

Basketball refs will always be the worst though. Charge/ block....Handcheck/ good defense......good rebound/ over the back.....Unless clean block as in ball in air, seems to always be foul.

Plus the NBA is fixed anyway and has contaminated society. And I can see college basketball being involved in point shaving a lot. It is too easy for them not to be.

I would also say nba ref's have the hardest job. Basketball is a lot more fast paced and it would be more difficult to consistently get it right

I don't know. You would think you could trust NBA player's to call their own fouls.

Or would we be looking at repeated instances of Gilbert Arena's locker room incident?
