This is my first pick in MLB. I found one I like...KC/Chisox...Guthrie became the Royals best starter once he came over from Colorado and was successful against the White Sox going 1-0 with a 0.30 ERA in four starts. Floyd will pitch for the Sox and he has a history of slow starts to the season. The Royals are 0-2 in this series and I don't think they get swept. Kansas City +106 Good Luck!!

Winner!! YTD 1-0 - Found an early one I like...LA Angels/Texas - Vargas is going for the Angels and even though he is a solid pitcher, last year he fared much better at home than he did on the road. His spring was not the greatest and last year he faced the Rangers four times, finishing with a 1-2 record and 5.04 ERA. The Rangers have started the season off strong even if it was against the lowly Astros. And, I feel there is added incentive to beat the Angels after the defection of Hamilton. Hamilton has started off slowly this year only going 1 for 12 at the plate and I can see the boo birds out in full force today. I will take the home team this afternoon...Texas -117 Good Luck today!!

Winner!! YTD 2-0 Found one I like today...it is a little pricey but, I feel has a great chance to cash...Cleveland/Tampa Bay...The Indians are struggling at the plate. They haven't scored a run in 19 innings. Masterson has struggled against the Rays going 1-7 Lifetime and 0-4 in Tampa. On the other hand, Price is 5-0 against Cleveland. The Rays have been getting production thoughout their lineup and I expect the home team to continue that production today...Tampa -180...Good Luck today!!

YTD 2-1 +.2 units - I knew the last pick was pricey and I paid dearly for it...worst performance this year for Tampa!! I found one I like:

Minn/KC - KC has been improving and I like their competitiveness. Guthrie is a good addition to their staff coming over last year from Colorado. He pitched a good first game and I expect another good performance tonight. Pelfry had one good year otherwise, he has been an average pitcher. Last year he was in and out of the lineup due to injuries. Give me the home team tonight.

Kansas City - 150
Good luck!!

I have been busy so, I haven't had a chance to post. I found one I like:

San Fran/Milw - Milw has started the season poorly and things got worse when Ramirez went on the disabled list. Their run production took a real hit and they set a club record for 32 consecutive scoreless innings. Zito is San Fran's most consistent pitcher and they have won 16 consecutive Zito starts going back to last season. This isn't the same scrappy Brewers team from a couple of years ago and I don't see the Brewers beating Zito today.

San Fran -125

Good luck today!!

YTD 3-2 -.05 units - Been a little busy and decided to take a little time off to get a better handle on teams. Teams are starting to show their colors and I hope to heat up with my picks. By the way, Milw scoring 8 runs in the 3rd inning of the above game really p*sses me off. They did little the rest of the game while San Fran kept battling. I don't think Zito is that bad. On to today...I found some I like today:

Clev/KC - Cleveland has 4 wins in their last 10 games against...2 against Houston and 2 against the light hitting White Sox. In the last 10 games for KC, they have wins against Atlanta, Boston, & Detroit...arguably some pretty solid teams. KC has been one of those teams that have been improving the last couple of years and I see them continuing their winning ways this season. They are sitting atop a weak AL Central and they will play hard to stay there. Cleveland's Kazmir is only pitching because of some injuries and he will be lucky to last 5 innings. The Royals are hitting left handed pitching at a .292 clip. I feel that KC at both the first 5 innings and full game would be good bets. I will be going full game only though.

Kansas City -154

LA Angels/Seattle - I think we get an angry Angels team tonight with a good pitcher going against a Seattle team that has only 3 wins in their last 10. Last night was the only game in the Angels last 10 where they were held to no runs. In their other 9 games, they averaged a little over 5 runs. Harang has only gone 5 & 4.2 innings in two games. He has given up 15 hits (4 were HR's) and 11 earned runs in 9 innings. His only bright spot is 11/2 strikeout to walk ratio. The Angels are hitting righties at a .272 clip while the Mariners are only hitting lefties at a .194 clip. I feel that the Angels will be able to hit and score runs tonight against Harang and Wilson will have an easy night with a weak Seattle lineup.

LA Angels -134

Pitt/St Louis - This pick pains me because I LOVE the Pirates. There is no quit in my Buccos and I feel like they are in every game because of that mentality. Our bullpen is solid, the hitting is starting to heat up and we are getting solid starting pitching. But, we have a very mediocre pitcher going tonight in Sanchez and he is only a place sitter while we are waiting for Liriano, Karstens, Morton or Cole to make it to the senior circuit. The Cardinals should be able to hit and score against Sanchez and I don't see him lasting more than 5 innings. As a matter of fact, he only lasted 3 innings in his last start. These kinds of performances really tax the bullpen. This is an important series and I can see Hurdle staying with Sanchez a little longer just to keep the bullpen rested for the rest of the games in this series. Lance Lynn is pitching well and should keep the Bucco bats a little quiet for the beginning of the game. Since the Pirates never stop coming and the Cardinals relief pitching is suspect, I see value in playing the Cardinals for the first 5 innings.

St Louis -.5 1st 5 (line isn't out yet for the first 5 so, I will update later)

That's it for today...good luck!!!!

The St Louis first 5 innings line was -195...it was a winner!! YTD 4-2 Sanchez sucks!! The Buccos need to get him out of the rotation. He didn't get an out tonight. Two homeruns, a single and a hit bat's man...then he is tossed!! This really taxes the bullpen and it is an important series with the Cardinals!!

Angels is a winner! YTD 5-2

Clev/KC game was postponed so, ended up with a 2-0 night. It looks like the same starters are going again today in the Clev/KC game. If so, I am making that one of my plays today. Line isn't out yet.

Looking over today's card and will let you know if I find anything else I like.

Good Luck today!!!

KC is a winner!! YTD 6-2 +2.95 units

I found one I like for today:

Tampa/Chisox - The White Sox are not hitting and with Price starting to heat up the last couple of games, I can't see Chicago generating a lot of offense. Axlerod started the season fine but, he has regressed and I see Tampa getting to him enough to win this game.

Tampa -137

Good Luck today!!

I found another one I like...will make it my last pick in April...

Balt/Seattle - Last night's game was a little tough for Balt with Britton's first game of the season. Well, tonight they have a good pitcher in Hammel going against the average Mariners. Hammel has been consistently good in all of his games with a WHIP of 1.14 and ERA of 3.82. On the other hand, Maurer has had a couple of bad starts and a couple of good ones...a little too inconsistent for me. Balt has an RPI rating that is 90 points higher than Seattle. I don't see Balt getting swept by Seattle so, I will back them tonight and if they lose, I will chase them tomorrow. Balt has Chen going against Harang tomorrow. I prefer getting the win tonight to finish April at a 8-2 record.

Baltimore -115

Good Luck tonight!!
