After two days of rain and cold temps, tonight's game between the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves should see much improved weather. The Cubs have their first series win to open the season in four years taking on the Braves only a day off their first loss of the early MLB season. Chicago's upcoming schedule in the next 13 of 19 games are vs. 2012 Playoff Teams so the Cubs might have some extra motive to build some momentum against Atlanta during this series. Feldman gets duty and season MLB debut for Chicago and was 39-44 4.81 ERA while then with Texas. Chicago's Bullpen still may have some questions with the unpredictable Marmol. Minor takes the hill for Atlanta also in the season debut and was 6-4 2.16 ERA in 14 starts after the All Star Break in 2012. Minor struggled in Spring Training going 2-1 with a 6.26 ERA in six starts but has earned a win in each of his four career starts vs. Chicago chalking up 30 K's to his credit. Minor matured somewhat with his successful run after the All Star Break and Atlanta hopes that maturity and confidence can now be found again in the regualr season. Braves hitting ran into Cliff Lee last night so Atlanta looks to find an offensive groove tonight. Jason Heyward had a bad strikeout with a questionable home plate call to end the game last night so Heyward should be primed to have a good outing tonight. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.
