Really do it when they win but not when they lose.

What is there to gain from doing this other than a bunch of random guys seeing your plays? Is it a satisfaction thing? Is it the recognition that comes with picking winners? What is it exactly?

If I post plays I will post the thread and forget about it till the end of the day. Once the end of the day comes I will check out the thread and answer comments if there are any.

Thought that's how it was supposed to be.

IDK I appreciate when others do it, if someone is hot, then you may want to follow, or even fade

used to be that you updated with your new wagers. If a guy has a good day he bumps, hardly when it's a bad day. Why do you give two shits?

Whats worse then bumping your own thread is when someone goes through the trouble of updating there signature on the bottom of there post with there updated records 5 mins after the completion of each game.
I wonder if that signature will stay updated if the record starts going south.

if you don't like posters bumping their threads that is one thing....but to ask why is silly.

Do people like to get their ego's stroked after a win? yes...hence the bump

Do people like exposing the fact they lose more than they win? nope....hence the silence

I always wonder how people find enough time in the day to keep a damn record of their plays. No way in hell I could maintain a season long thread in MLB or basketball. Could do it in football easily......hell, I go to work to take a break

Just look at 90% of his threads he starts on a daily basis. I think "silly" would be the nicest descriptor for them.

Bumping your threads and tooting your own horn is basically useless in a big forum. Especially the college football forum where it seems like 10,000 people post on Saturday. And most are done for the week by the time you've bumped your thread. So they could care less what YOU did. You'll make a much bigger impression if you keep winning and post your record in your thread the next week BEFORE the games are played. That gets much more attention than your novice poster in here thinks it does.

Fading touts seems to be popular. Maybe one ought to start a bragging thread about how they are 0-5 and has a gift greater than Lang at picking losers.

Come to think of it, I think their is posters like this around here.
