Refs handed louisville the championship

And i'm not one to usually complain

but obvious fouls against wichita st the entirety of the last 10 minutes, and some terrible calls tonight

obvious goaltending, burke gets tackled twice with no call, etc

it was a good close game, i feel the refs made bad calls on both sides but a few more bad calls in louisville's favor were the difference

College basketball in general has terrible officiating. It makes the NBA look good in comparison.

the refs are horrible...no doubt but i think the best team won this year.

terrible officiating

people that think college basketball is a better product make me laugh

even an early season bobcats/raptors game is 100x better officiated than that championship was

Louisville had 10 fouls against them in the first 12 minutes of the 2nd half and Mich had 4 fouls with 3 minutes to go in the 2nd half ... How were the refs favoring Louisville?

Mi got much more calls. The refs missed to blatant calls the goaltend and buried block.

^^ so louisville wasn't playing a much more aggressive style? Not saying it was intentional, i think those teams were evenly matched and whoever got the most bad calls in their favor was gonna win

Well, I'll go with the blown missed goaltend, as well as the foul on Burke when it wasn't close to a foul.

i had lvillw and they are the best team in the country....but i am really glad college hoops is over. Between the officiating and the 3 pt line being too short of a distance....i dont like the game. Every 4 min timeouts ....i just really dont like the game the way it's played now.

I really have no issue with the officiating other than it is bad. I'm not much of a consumer of the CBB product either way. Some bad calls tonight and Saturday though but yeah LVille deserved to win. Mich dribble penetration and interior D are both pretty weak for a title team despite how talented they are.

do you want a robot out there?

do you understand that many of these calls are subjective and can go either way?

you sit in front of a hd tv for hours everyday with the benefit of sitting there and rewinding your tv back and forth to whine about every mis call, the refs don't have that luxury.

Perhaps we would know who the better team was if they played a million times, a single game doesn't really prove anything whether it was fairly officiated or not

you know enough about me somehow to know that i know nothing about basketball lol

did you know that i was a marquette booster?

give me one example of a non-fixed nba game that was officiated that poorly, no nba refs miss goaltending like that, even if one member of the crew doesn't catch it someone does

It's arrogant because it implies that i am important enough that they would care whether i would congratulate them or not

i am not that self-delusional, no member of the louisville cardinals organization gives a shit whether i was rooting for them or not
