Hey guys, trying to decide on a new phone. Maybe an IPhone, but not sure I want to shell out that much money for a phone. What do y'all have that you really like? I mainly use mine as a phone with a little texting and some minor internet usage (placing bets and checking scores mostly). I'd like to be able to email from it as well.

Thanks

Buy an iphone. I switched about 3 months ago from a Droid to the Iphone 5 and I love it. Perfect for what you need.

As a Verizon customer I didn't pay that much. Under $200. I brought in 3 really old phones I had kicking around my house, plus my droid and got about $60 off. Plus with the $100 upgrade credit I had on my line it got me down quite a bit.

Check it out. Its worth it IMO.

I had a hard time receiving a wireless signal in my house with my Droid. Only had one bar throughout my house and could not surf the web easily at all. Iphone completely different. Haven't opened my laptop in about 3 months.

My Droid would freeze constantly.

My droid was a 4G. Well for some reason I had to turn off the 4G option just to make a phone call. Within the first day of having my droid I dropped every single call I placed or received. That also has not happened once since I bought an Iphone.

You may want to check on what Murph is saying but I thought Adobe was not offering Flash to the new Droids. And they will not be in the future so Flash will go bye bye before the Iphone.
I could be wrong about this but thats what I read somewhere.

I have a Note2. The size grows on you quickly. It is faster than a laptop. More features that you can shake a stick at. My brother has an Iphone 5, he is always trying to talk me into trading him.

I'd vote for Android too, either an S3/S4 or HTC One X. iPhone is a fine phone too, though.

I'd suggest actually holding all your options before choosing, since the ergonomics might be a difference maker (especially since actually using it as a phone was the first thing you mentioned).

I currently still have the S2 because it's so great. My girlfriend has an Iphone and is always wanting to use my samsung.

s4 is pretty incredible though i'm thinking about getting it

Is there that much of a difference in The S2 and S3 and S4. I go from free to paying $300 or $400 per phone X 3 phones.

What type of phone are you coming from? Chances are you'll be happy with any of them, although, I'd stay away from the S2 only because it's 2 generations old, and support will be harder to come by. S3 is probably the sweet spot, as far as price/performance ratio at this point.
