Or anybody from NYC. I'm trying to find the name of a restaurant that's some kind of chinese mafia deal.

You walk in the door and a chinese lady takes you up a long escalator and into a huge room where theres people playing dominoes that are being guarded by chinese men in suits.

The lady brings 1 plate of food at a time (whether you want it or not) and she stands over you while you eat and hollers at you and makes you finish the plate b4 you can get more or leave.

It sounds like something from the twilight zone. Ya'll ever heard of such a place ?

I believe your talking about Jing Fong in Chinatown. I have been there a few times and had a good time. I would suggest getting there early, especially for lunch as the place can get incredibly packed.

The person that told me about it said each plate is only $3 , and that the food was bland.

It was their first time in NYC and they were intimidated by the lady hollaring and the guys in suits.

yea...i never been there either...but know it well...my old man lives two blocks away...it's on Elizabeth St. off of Canal across from Citibank

Really ? Wow , must be a crazy place. They never even got menus they were just brought a plate of food and the lady stood right at the table hollering for them to eat. I've never heard of such and thought the guy was pulling my leg.

yeah -- and its even worse in the chinese barbershops -- - many of them are smoke filled with
people playing games in the back and eating food.

you want hideous and disgusting smoke filled anarchy/chaos...you should have entered at least once in your life the OTB that used to be open on Chatham Square in chinktown before the city closed down nycotb

I know a guy that has an esophogus (sp) disorder and he can vomit at will , i'd love to have him there when the lady hollers at you to finish your plate and then have him puke everywhere. ... well , not really but just saying , this just sounds creepy.

people laugh at me when i tell them about this atrocity....as if it was from a time n place that never existed...u had to live it to believe...hardcore NYC at in it's most debauchery and hell....you wanna get skinny w/o doing meth or stop eating....gamble 24/7... smoke cigarettes, eat rice....repeat

been to a few of these Gambling dens in Chinatown.. but nothing with a escalator.
there's one where you walk up a Long staircase, which I thought you were talking about at first... because it's a pain with those stairs
that's because it's above a Store...But like others have said, ( and I'm a smoker ) some of these places you see a cloud of smoke... I can't take...
They are also big on the Numbers game... tons of people down there taking numbers
