Anyone know the status of the rain delays in Detroit and Texas ? Got a finite amount sitting in an account and don't want to commit funds to a play that's gonna get washed out in a few hours (even though I could tack on an "if-push" rolling wager as long as it's not a reduced juice wager).

How does rain delays contribute to overs? or is that an observation? Thanks.

well i monitored last year and about 70% of rain delays had the over coming in. ....play at your own peril but Im on the over fk it

I explained why I wanted to know. Your response has nothing to do with that, which should have been obvious. I'm not going to use my available funds on a game that's not going to be played and then have to wait for the book to grade it as a "no bet".

Starting pitchers go thru their regular routines preparing for their first pitch at a specific time. Rain delays disrupt this from both a physical and mental. Arms can tighten up and if the delay is lengthy managers may decide to scatch and go to another guy.

Wet fields also make for more fielding errors as well.

Did you seperate the stats between rain delays from the start where pitchers didnt warm up , or does it only apply to rain delays that occur after the game has started ?

I know delays that happen after a game has started usualy wipes out the starting pitchers , but not sure about delays from the outset.

I found a resource for the info I was looking for. The ESPN scorecast app has a link for social media for each game where local reporter's tweet. The Tiger game estimates 1st pitch at 3:35 eastern & the 1st pith in Texas at 3:30 eastern.

It's also a pet peave of mine not to be told what to play unless I ask. It's gonna happen, but I prefer it doesn't.

this is a very accurate response....also the the bullpen can be effected....the only one i did was detroit game will see what happens but tor has imploded...tor cant hit but detroit might get the total themselves. The texas one is not going to work out looks like but i will monitor it throughout the season
