Portland started 4 rookies and the Lakers gave up 69 1st half points.. Why the urgency to make the playoffs when your D is that bad ?

Did you watch at all?

Guys straight out of the Dleague were bombing 3s, it was pretty surreal.

Yea I watched it.. local broadcast for me... 7 out of 11 from 3 doesn't = 69 points.. way to many easy buckets..You might be the first person all year that has argued against how bad the Laker D is..

When did I argue how bad their D was?

Lillard couldn't miss.

Lakers took a lot of bad shots too that led to easy Portland points. Kobe in particular clearly pressing playing the whole game.

It was competitive as hell though for a regular season game.

no doubt game was compeitive.. I guess you could say alot of things led to 69-61 halftime lead

While Lakers are bad on D, they are way better without Nash with some effort.

With Nash effort doesn't matter cause its 4 on 5 but if they dig in without him they definitely can get stops.

Portland will fade in the 2nd...i know, I'm a little late on this - but I don't have money on it. Just at a Portland bar watching the game.

Sounds like Don Nelson's 2009-10 Golden State Warriors. Played 6-8 guys every night, a bunch of em from the D-League (Anthony Morrow, Anthony Tolliver, Cartier Martin, Chris Hunter), others castoffs (CJ Watson, Ronny Turiaf) to go with their usual cast (Monta, Curry), and they were always competitive while sinking shots from everywhere regularly while utilizing fast-paced Nellie Ball.

Such a fun team to watch, probably the most fun team to watch, in my opinion, in the last five years (And it also helps they have the best television announce team in basketball). That team also has the distinction of pulling off the biggest ML upset that year when, as 17-pt underdogs (If I recall correctly), they went into Denver and won... on the back-end of a back-to-back. Nobody does that. Ah that comment helped me reminisce about that team.
