On lines like that the smart thing to do is play the other side, stay away, or bet it very small

The A's are hot.. but yes this line is low.. its probably a "steal" for "value" on verlander.. but I wouldnt touch the game as far as best on the board today...

Verlander can be hit and Brett Anderson has a 1.38 ERA. The A's are also on fire now and at home. I think the line is basically right on.

I wouldn't risk betting a whole lot on any one game no matter how great it looks because anything can happen at anytime. The "best bet" I thought I had all season was cubs/giants where the giants had to come back from down 5-0 and I got lucky to even win. just my opinion bol to you

In his 11 starts in Oakland, the Tigers are only 6-5. And Anderson is pitching really well at moment.

Thanks for the input guys, and I also am seeing 117 &119. This season I am backing Verlander this season almost automatically unless something really compelling says to skip it. I actually like the price i got on Bumgarner and the Giants -121 and going against the Cubs and Samardjia feels a lot better than going against Athletics. I am taking both giants and tigers, both are small bets. Admittedly, this early in the season i am basically remember how well i liked Bumgarner in the playoffs, but i also like fading the Cubs.

When Detroit wins this afternoon i am making a sticky note to roll that bet into the next Verlander game, i like him that much. GL on all the games today boys!

Other side logic works better for Football. I'm all over Detroit at the -116 I got early.

This line is set right where it should be. There is absolutely nothing fishy about it. Team on a long winning streak, playing at home behind a very good pitcher vs. one of, if not the best, pitcher in baseball with good numbers against the other team, as a short favorite. Seems pretty on point to me...

Be careful laying juice against Samardjia. The guy can pitch.

Thanks Maris. I think Verlander handles this. I hope he goes through a lot of short innings.
