LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant suffered what the team called a probable torn Achilles tendon during Friday night's 118-116 win over the Golden State Warriors.

He will undergo an MRI on Saturday morning to confirm the injury, according to the Lakers.
Bryant said he knows the injury is likely to end his season.
"I can't walk," Bryant said. "I tried to maybe put pressure on my heel, but there was nothing there."
Bryant checked out of Friday night's game against the Warriors with 3:06 remaining in the fourth quarter.
He had 34 points on 9-for-21 shooting before leaving, playing every minute of the game up to that point.

Wow....he played beatup forever like a cyborg. What a warrior.

Kobe going down for the count is like the terminator dying or something.

Would've been pretty cool to see the Lakers with Dwight/Pau healthy and Kobe go into rd 1 and try to shock the world.

Going to be tough for the Lakers to end the season and go on a playoff run.

Lets hope Kobe can bounce back from this and have a few more great years before he hangs it up. He is one of those players everyone can enjoy watching.

Dwight Howard will lead them on a big playoff run (at least that's what he is getting paid for). If Howard was truly an elite player, he could do it.

sucks.

Was looking forward to a great series between them and the injured spurs. I think LA could have shocked there.

Put down the crack pipe. The Spurs are going in as 1 or 2 seed, and Lakers were going to be lucky to even make the playoffs.

Thank you for the clarification, dipshit

Are you serious dude?

I said I was looking forward to spurs lakers matchup and Zit said I was on crack for thinking it was going to happen because the spurs are a 1 or 2 seed. I was replying to him basically saying "yea no shit they are a 1 or 2 seed that's exactly why the matchup would happen" Read the posts before you mouth off.

You're a straight up asshole man.

This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I've done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense. Now I'm supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that??
I have NO CLUE. Do I have the consistent will to overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that
was. Maybe this is how my book
ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me...Then again maybe not! It's 3:30am, my foot feels like dead weight, my head is spinning from the pain meds and I'm wide awake. Forgive my Venting but what's the purpose of social media if I won't bring it to you Real No Image?? Feels good to vent, let it out. To feel as if THIS is the WORST thing EVER! Because After ALL the venting, a real perspective sets in. There are fargreater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever.
One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day.
"If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer.
I know it's a long post but I'm Facebook Venting LOL. Maybe now I can actually get some sleep and be excited for surgery tomorrow. First step of a new challenge.
Guess I will be Coach Vino the rest of this season. I have faith in my teammates. They will come thru.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. Much Love Always.
