Atlanta's Tim Hudson as with any MLB Pitcher has had some up and downs but today "Huddy" seeks his 199th career win in Game Two of the series with the Washington Nationals. Detwiler had the Braves befuddled last night but the National's bull pen collasped and Atlanta now checks in at 9-1 while Washington is 7-3 respectively. Hudson is 1-0 3.27 ERA this season and is 14-5 2.65 ERA career in 26 outings vs. Washington but the Nationals did scuff and rough up Hudson last year where he was 0-2 7.21 ERA. Big Bad Bryce Harper is batting .400 with 5 HR's and 10 RBI's but is 3 for 9 with no HR's vs. Hudson. Werth however does have a .389 ERA and 3 HR's off Hudson and should be a great matchup this afternoon. Strasburg is 1-1 4.38 ERA this season but 3-3 4.17 ERA vs. Atlanta the most loses to any team. Jason Heyward is still slumping overall but is 7 for 12 vs. Strasburg and Dan Uggla is 8 for 17. Atlanta will need to clean up play on the defensive end today as some sloppy dropped balls last night made situations worse than they should have been. In a close game coming down into the late innings Braves bull pen should deliver where as Washington's still may have a question mark after last night's major let down. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.

Harper may finally have some success vs. Hudson today with the tear he is on and Werth may contribute also. Braves have had success vs. Strasburg and should be a fine day for baseball weather wise. Today the focus will be Over 3 1/2 First Five Innings with Harper, Werth, Heyward, Upton, Uggla all capable of providing scoring opportunities when situations arise looking for a possible 2-2 game after five complete innings.

3 for 9 is a small sample size and is still .333. With that all being said, I like Wash today too.

Had a great opportunity in bottom of first with Span on second with no outs but doubled up with the laser shot to center caught by Upton and throw out back to second.

Damn Damn why did Braves ever send runner around third on the short dribbler into left. That play had no chance. Another wasted opportunity.

The White Bear Evan Gattis gets the better of Strasburg with a two run blast in the third. 2-0 but still need two more here shortly.

Washington adds a solo HR but not enough with a 2-1 score after five complete innings. Too many missed opportunites in the early innings.
