Wind at Wrigley can play Havoc on totals, so they wait to see what it will really be closer to game time

There's no other ballpark where during the course of a season totals can range anywhere between 6 and 14, depending on the conditions (primarily due to wind velocity and wind direction). Since conditions can potentially change, they wait longer than games at other parks. They use to do something similar at Fenway, but I think when they re-did the press area behind the plate, the influence of the wind was greatly reduced and the totals at that park are now released with all the others.
