LOS ANGELES — The Clippers may have to find another sponsor for their half-court shot contest next season. Dodge might be running out of cars.

On Tuesday night, for the second time this season, and third in almost a year, a fan hit a midcourt shot at a Clippers game and won a Dodge Dart. On the same night Hagop Blikian took delivery on his new car at Staples Center after winning the contest on Feb. 21, Kevin Liao of Woodland Hills swished in a shot from half-court to win a Dart.

“I can’t believe it,” Liao, 27, said after he walked off the court. Like Blikian, he’s a first-year season-ticket holder.

The folks at Dodge probably can’t believe it either. That’s two cars they’ve given away this season.

The Clippers went on to beat the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 93-77.

During halftime on Feb. 21, Blikian, sporting a Jamal Crawford jersey, nailed a half-court shot to win a Dart.

I would love to be in a half court shot contest, I have always felt confident when I pull up from half.

Nobody does it at the Celtics game because they always pick either fat, unathletic white guys or 24 year old girls to do it. It is pretty funny they never pick anyone that looks like they would have even a 5% chance to do it.

They insure this through a national company who does contest all over the US. They pay a premium based on the odds of winning. The insurance company is the one who took it in the shorts.

Yep...this is what a lot of ppl forget. The insurance companies pick up the tab, not the dealership.

I was at the Clippers game last night. The crowd went beserk when the guy hit this...people were high fiving in the stands like the team just made it to the Finals, haha. Even a few players congratulated him.

Wouldn't mind trying this myself one time. I think I could probably hit 1 of every 8 halfcourt shots I attempted. Not bad odds for a free ride.

On a related note to the game, I was ecstatic to push my Blazers +16 bet given the position they were in. God, talk about mailing in the rest of the season...
