MYFOXNY.COM - Yankees captain Derek Jeter traveled to Charlotte, N.C., on Thursday to see his ankle surgeon after a CT scan showed a small crack in the area of his previous ankle fracture, according to reports.
The All-Star shortstop and future Hall of Famer suffered a major ankle break during the 2012 ALCS. He underwent surgey and has been working to get back on the active roster.
General Manager Brian Cashman said Jeter has been having ankle issues during his rehab training at the Yankees minor league complex in Tampa.
Cashman, calling the new injury a "setback," said Jeter won't be back until after the All-Star break.
