Sunday: 3-5, -.41 units. A day that looked so promising ended with Boston and Colorado blowing late leads. I'm not losing my bigger bets by much so that's a good sign, but losing is losing, and there isn't much else to say. The Red Sox youngster Webster looked very good, but made a couple of down the middle mistakes that were launched.
Cardinals. ML (+101). 2 units. Dan Haren really does look washed up, and he's facing a tough lineup that usually hits on the road. His fastball has lost velocity and placement, and hitters are laying off the off-speed stuff. The Cards are well managed and know how to score. They don't count on HRs like some teams and I think this is the perfect patient team to knock Haren around. Shelby Miller now has an outstanding curve to get that 3rd strike he needs. His fastball is hard to pick up from his delivery and makes it seem like it's faster than low to mid-90s. The Nats will miss Zimmerman in the lineup, and other than Bryce Harper, are not hitting that well. They have struggles against a number of pitchers in the past week- Gee, Harvey, Maholm, Sanabia, Hudson.
