TheRx is brutal. Not many post, along with the other sites. Advertising has to cost next to nothing. How long can these forums stay afloat?

Most hobby related forums ( gardening, photography, stamp collecting, etc.) have very little income and volunteer mods.

I think gambling forums just will further cut mod pay.

Yeah can't imagine the RX overhead is very high, but I could be wrong.

just less room to have paid mods....you can have forum for anything without needing much support

Somebody probably collects doorknobs ( Aunt Clara from Bewitched) and there is probably a forum about it .

Mod money has to be in decline !

Everyone talks about this place being dead around this time every year. March madness and football are over. There may be a correlation...

Do a lot of people still post up at online shops? And of those, how many click on the banners?

I haven't done either in a long long time. Maybe I'm in the minority

Its not about "clicking banners", its how many unique visitors and how many total visits to a webpage that determines how much advertisers pay. At least that's how my experiences have been.

It is both, depending on what advertising models you use.

Affiliate/CPC/etc.

Not always, I can't imagine sponsors staying for years if they never get anyone clicking on their banners or someone typing in therx in the "how did you hear about us."

Bigbet, place a few calls and see what the asking price is for TheRX, that should answer your question.

Business model needs to change,,,,,

someone needs to think outside the box.

Yes it does.
the posters are the customers not the sponsors. Until they learn this they will struggle
