Mine would go back to the 1970's... MLB

Took Two 4-1 Favorites and put them in a reserve !!! I remember one was the Oakland A's with Vida Blue pitching
and I believe the other was the Yankees....

Both went Down ^<<^

One comes to mind that I actually won, but looking back it was pretty goofy. I remember Bears playing Packers on MNF (or maybe SNF) 11 or 12 years ago. I couldn't decide which team to take or which side of the total. So I put in 2 teasers; one on Bears and under and the other on Packers and over. Margin of victory and the total both hit right in between and I won them both. I remember watching the game and not knowing exactly what to root for, which is funny cause I only bet it for action.

Marvin Hagler over Ray Leonard. Still pisses me off. Boxing was actually a somewhat legitimate betting option back then.

I look back at all the 4-5 team nba parlays i bet in college and wonder wtf I was thinking

I have also made some bad bet's on tilt that one. After a sick baseball loss earlier this season I did a 500 dollar parlay on the only two nba second half bet's that were available. They both won and the second one on a last second layup. Won 1200 but it was a really stupid bet.

One time I had a sports book at the end of the night with a balance of something like 1988 bucks. I had the bright idea of wagering 12 bucks on some obscure soccer match or cricket match that's was playing in the middle of the night that I never heard of. The plan was to make the bet and wake up the next day with a smooth balance of 2000
I woke up the next day and lost almost 200 on that 12 bet. Then the next day I spent the whole day trying to get that back. 24 hours later my balance was a smooth 0. This was a long time ago. ESB

Had many I'm sure but one that sticks out is betting a ton of money on Rampage Jackson when he was a 3-1~ish favorite over Forest Griffin. Had a good chunk of change in a couple books and had a good day betting other sports so though why not pad my accounts by about $1000 as it's probably a sure thing.

Well $3200 less in my accounts proved there is no such thing as a sure thing

Agreed Hagler won the fight. I bet over my head on that fight at -300. They gave it to the prettier boxer with a nice personality. Hagler had the personalty of a rock and came off as a mean man. Last fight I ever bet.

Back in college I bet 2200 to win 2000 on the Lakers under.

Kobe scored 81 points that night and the rest is history! ##)

You sure you didn't bet 200 instead of 12? :):)

BAS I dunno if you meant with sportsbooks or not but I'd say in terms of EV those two bets blow away your Joe Flacco salary bet :)

Was he with Nicole that night? He was married for about two years at the time. What a beautiful creature she was man. Less than 7 years later he was filleting her like an animal. Sorry off topic.

I've made some bad bets I didn't care about but I remember the worst bet I felt I made that I actually liked was the Wizards to beat the Cavs in the '08 playoffs.

Wizards should have won. Lebron got away with a lot of traveling vs the wizards.

There was a NFL Sunday a few years back, when the Eagles (with McNabb) were playing the Raiders... I tied the Eagles into every teaser and action-reverse I bet that day. Of course they lose outright.... to the Raiders. :ohno:
