they'll be out in 5 games at the very most, likely swept.

lakers are really stuck in a bad position with howard - he's not a max guy and is the most overrated center of all time, but won't take less than max to stay with the lakers.

problem is, lakers can't do a max sign-and-trade due to some CBA rules around the 5th year and max deals.

He is the biggest cry baby in all of sports.
I said before the season started when Bynum and Howard are both 100% healthy Bynum is the better center.
Only problem with that is Bynum is not 100% very often.
Lakers are about to enter a new era of irrelevance since Buss died and kobe nearing the end.

Its going to be like the era the Knicks just got out of or the Celtics after Bird and McHale or Chicago after Jordan and before Rose.

howard is a pretty damn good center. He has shown a noticeable decline since his peak days in orlando but I think he is still incredibly productive....if he could shoot FTs then I think he is a max contract guy

he averaged 17.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.45 blocks.....and this is someone who was a shell of himself early on so these stats will improve if he is healthy for an entire season

Do away with him. Tear it all down and do away with everybody except Jamison. They need shooters something fierce.

Lakers need to start over. Time to get a whole bunch of young guys and I don't know where Durant is right now with his contract but maybe think about putting in plans to get that guy. I think Durant would be a good fit for LA.

he's signed through the 2015/16 season and at that point okc will be able to offer him the most. he'll be 28 at that time. baring a major injury or severe dropoff, okc would never let him go.

He's one of so many talented players right now who just don't have the mental toughness to compete in the league.

looking at how the lakers payroll is currently constructed right now, i almost guarantee he is gone.

the lakers have 78 mill on the cap next year, and 9 mill on the cap in 2014/2015. everybodys contract expires at the end of next seasons besides nash. kobe will play his final year next season and then be done, gasol will move on, nash will retire or get traded to waive that 9 mill off that cap.

the lakers are set to be a middle of the road team next season and then rebuild. they will have nothing on the payroll in 2014/2015

I wouldn't want Dwight Howard anywhere near my team. Most overrated player I've ever seen.

If hes not the most overrated player, hes in the Top 5. I wouldnt want anything to do with him either. He has shown how good a coach Stan Van Gundy is tho, no way is Howard a #1 guy, hes close to a role player
