Name: Kyle Long
Pick: No. 20, overall
Position: Guard
School: Oregon
Height: 6-6
Weight: 313
On the field: Long comes with a terrific pedigree as the son of Hall of Fame defensive end Howie Long and the younger brother of Rams defensive end Chris Long. Came on during his senior season for the Ducks, playing in 11 games and making four starts. That was the only season he spent at Oregon as an appeal for an extra year from the NCAA was turned down. Played left tackle at Saddleback (Mission Viejo, Cal.) Community College in 2011.
Upside: Long has good size and is athletic, making him ideal as a left guard candidate. He's known as a physical and nasty performer. He's good on his feet and is an excellent athlete as an interior lineman.
Downside: Lacks experience in college and will need to be developed for transition to professional game. Lacks long arms and needs to be physically developed.
Most resembles: If Long develops he has an opportunity to have a career path like Andy Levitre, who went from the Bills to the Titans with a big free-agent contract this offseason.
