The big news this week is obviously the NFL Draft -- as evidence by the volume of posts on that topic on this blog -- but there still remain a number of significant veteran free agents out there looking for work. Most will wait until after the draft has been completed to peddle their wares to interested suitors, but for players who've already made visits to teams, the moves could be made shortly after the draft is over. One player in that situation is former Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
Bradshaw took some FA visits this offseason already, though it was with the understanding that teams wouldn't sign him right away given his health situation. On Friday, however, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that Bradshaw has been medically cleared to resume all football-related activities.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are believed to be the team most interested in Bradshaw, but there are some barriers to clear, as ESPN AFC North blogger Jamison Hensley acknowledges:

"If the Steelers want to sign Bradshaw, they might have to create salary cap room by restructuring safety Troy Polamalu. The Bengals, Packers and Broncos have all expressed interest in the former Giants running back. Instead of signing a veteran, the Steelers could look to add a running back in the draft Friday and they may land one of the top in the draft. No running back was drafted in the first round for the first time since 1963, when the NFL and AFL held separate drafts. Mel Kiper Jr.'s top five running backs are: Alabama's Eddie Lacy, Wisconsin's Montee Ball, UCLA's Johnathan Franklin, North Carolina's Giovani Bernard, and Florida's Mike Gillislee."
