I'm not an everyday type of record keeper - nor do I post all the time -- because thats the type of person I am LOL .. get a bit lazy to post and don't want to
post everyday... updating records/picks.
Anyway I am betting MLB Full Time and take this pretty seriously.
Over the last week I hit just about every game - over the last 2-3 days I was down and up - so pretty mixed ---> so my record right at this moment
is not 100% like it would have been a week ago.
Ok so onto todays game which I think is one of those Games if you played it 10 times in the exact same circumstances as the game today
my pick would win 9/10 times.
The Pick is the Phillies over the Mets Today - I took 1.87 and bet my whole balance on the game - because thats how confident I feel about it.
Why make this bet ?? When I'm handicapping a game I'm not looking to play games where its going to be 2/1 1/0 3/2 - I'm looking for games
where if my selection plays well they are going to win 7/1 6/2 9/1 - so basically games where there is a mismatch and all things going well it will
come out in the gameplay.
What is the mismatch here ? Mets Hitters besides Wright getting his Single/Double or Walk are anemic and are hitting like crap and swinging at
just about anything. Buck hits a home run from time to time - but what does it say about the team when you rely on the catcher to come up
and hit home runs for you every game ... there are very few teams that play that way .. because it makes you inconsistent.
The Phillies have been up and down so far this season - and their 3 outfielders have not been consistent swinging the bats at all - and thats made the team
somewhat vulnerable - as the pressure has been bit too much on Howard etc. Anyway yesterday the Outfielders swung the bats effectively
hitting couple home runs - getting on base and ultimately playing very well -- when this type of play occurs it makes them a great team to bet
on because your getting hits/walks and runs up and down the line up... which leads to blowing the other team out - putting maximum pressure
on them the whole game.
The weather is great today here again and I just expect a 4/1 5/2 or 8/2 type of game with a current posted under/over of 7.
Regardless of bad luck or good luck - I feel the Phillies have the winning edge today - and I put my money where my mouth is.
