The Atlanta Braves are very familiar with the Home Plate Ump calling them out with the Braves posting 215+ K's on the season. The Strikeout is one of the major factors in a four game losing streak and dropping eight of eleven overall. It seems to be HR's (35) or Strikeouts (215+) for Atlanta who are now 15-9 overall and 3-7 Last 10 after being swept by Detroit this weekend. The Braves hope to avoid the longest skid in eleven months Monday and set a Franchise Record for longest winning streak over the Nationals. Atlanta's success however will all resort back to not whiffing out at the plate and better starting pitching where Atlanta Starters have given up 31 Runs during the recent skid. Terehan is 1-0 5.48 ERA and after three poor starts is coming off his best outing of the season. Terehan checks in with a 1.57 WHIP and did give up four Earned Runs and three BB's in Washington earlier this season. Terehan seems to give up a big inning and then settles in for some quailty outs but still seems to struggle with control at times. Terehan will have to keep baserunners to a minimum tonight as he looks for a quailty start back home in Atlanta. Strasburg is 1-4 3.16 ERA and has lost a career high four starts in a row. Strasburg has given up 11 Earned Runs in 24 Innings Pitched during this time frame and has only received six runs of support to counter. Washington needs to improve on Run Support for Strasburg as LaRoche is hitless in 26 At Bats with a .135 average and desperately looking for a breakout game. Uggla is 4 for 26 a HR and four RBI's and also looks to finally get back into a hiiting zone at Turner Field. Big Bad Bryce Harper is always a threat in any plate appearance and Teheran will have to focus with the Nationals fine young player. After a toughr road skid Atlanta looks to get back to better baseball at home tonight but if Braves can't improve on their Strikeout Talley the fans will see more of It's One Two Three Strikes Your Out At The Old Ball Game. Strasburg with a 1-2 6.28 ERA at Turner Field with 1.12 WHIP overall. Ramos is expected to be back in Nationals Line Up but Zimmerman on 15 DL with Hamstring. Heyward still on 15 DL with Appendectomy. Washington Bullpen with a 1.08 ERA Last three and Atlanta Bullpen 4.50 ERA Last three. Over is 14-3 in Washington last 17 Road Games and Over is 12-4-2 Last 18 overall in this matchup. Atlanta is 6-21 last 27 Monday Games. The Southeastern USA had much rain over the weekend but weather system has moved through with brighter skies today. Field shoud be good to go for tonight.

If the primary storyline for tonight is Atlanta's Strikeout Troubles and a possible secondary storyline being Strasburg Trying To Avoid A Fifth Straight Loss then a possible third storyline also exist. After Atlanta swept Washington in Washington earlier this season the National's Danny Espinosa made comments about the Braves just being an average club and let's wait and see what their record is at the end of the season. Braves may can use Espinosa's comments for motivation tonight but will still have to improve plate discipline. If Terehan has thoughts or somehow manages to plunk Espinosa in retaliation fireworks may spill over. Terehan better hope he doesn't leave one up around the head area on the Espinosa At Bat.

The National's roughed up Terehan early last time in this matchup. Even though Terehan finally got his first win last time out he has been dangling on a fine string this season. If Terehan brings his usual game tonight we expect at least one bad inning with several walks and possible multi runs. The focus today will be Washington Team Total Over 3 -120 in expectation of Nationals getting two or three off Terehan by Harper, Werth, Espinosa, and hopefully a breakout game by LaRoche and maybe getting one to two runs in the middle to late innings to push it over.

A good game on Monday night underway in Atlanta. A tit for tat game with some pick offs and throws to third for outs for some defensive high lights. 2-2 going into the fifth and apologies as I mispelled Teheran's name earlier in the thread.

Both teams had two on with no outs and could not scratch across a run. Still 2-2 in the going into the seventh and it's anybodies ball game. Many opportunites by both teams but did not capitalize on them.

3-2 Braves Final. Washington had the opportunites but came up dry. Stay Safe RX Land.
