I'm sorry. I've had it with Tebow and it isn't even his fault.

I bet you in the last 24 months Tebows name has been mentioned on espn more then lebron James, Tiger Woods, and Adrian Petterson combined.

Im not normally one to complain about espn but I have had it. How in the hell can a major network spend so much time on a backup qb who had less then 50 yards passing last season? It is utterly insane.

I honestly have nothing against the guy. If I met him in real life I'm sure I would think of him as a good dude. But he is not worthy of my time.

I don't fault tebow for this hate. I guess it's hate towards the people that to force me to follow every last move he makes.

Does espn honestly believe that 99% of us care?

I swear they talk about tebow more then they talk about lebron James. It don't matter if its January, march, June, September , or December.

Its tebow, tebow, tebow.

Espn can be downright unwatchable sometimes. They covered that revis trade like it was the wayne gretzky trade.....they find something they think people want and they beat it to death.

You should've lived in Colorado the last 3 years.

I will say that I wish he would get another shot with a struggling chiefs, jags, or raiders type of team just to see if he could re-create some magic or fall on his face and just go away. Otherwise, he'll be talked about forever by a certain segment as what could've been.

I think Tim Brando summed it up pretty well on his show today. He compared Tim Tebow to Danica Patrick. Both of these sports personalites have been great publicity for their teams. Like Tebow with the Jets, Danica Patrick hasn't done squat under Tony Stewart's racing team, finishing no better than 25th in 4 out of here last 5 races. But GoDaddy.com is one hell of a sponser, and great pub for the team. That's why he hasn't canned her ass. There's more to today's professional sports than just an athlete's performance on the field. I don't necessarily agree with what these owners are doing. I think their respective sports eventually suffer on the field for it. But making money and being relevant is the name of the game these days in professional sports.

How embarrassing for Tebow...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9228241/omaha-beef-indoor-team-offers-tim-tebow-contract

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha Beef have a job waiting for Tim Tebow if he wants it -- and the Nebraska indoor football team will even pay him $75 a game.

The Jets have released Tim Tebow. Will he ever play another down in the NFL?
Cast your votes!

A day after Tebow was cut by the New York Jets, the Beef called the office of Tebow agent Jimmy Sexton to offer a standard player contract.
Beef assistant general manager Andrew Mather said Tuesday that he doesn't expect to hear back, but he thought it was worth asking.
The Beef's current quarterback, James McNear, has led the team to a 5-1 start. He's completing 70 percent of his passes and has thrown for 21 touchdowns against just two interceptions.
McNear is anything but insulted by the Beef's wooing of Tebow.
"I think Tim can learn a lot from me," McNear said.

A job's a job in this economy!! Yet it was so predictable when he came out of college, chucks the ball like a drunk Rocky....

I agree, a job is a job - but he certainly will do better than $75/game. I'd be a little insulted if I were him, but then I'd realize that I made more money last season than the QB for the Omaha Beef will make in his lifetime.

of all the things to sympathize with Tebow, money is not one of them.

he has a lot of options:

1) speaking engagements (who the hell knows why but I think he is popular)
2) CFL
3) even though analysts say he wouldn't work out, he would probably get a lot of looks if he switched positions (i.e. TE or RB)
4) TV star (at least second rate stuff like Dancing with the Stars)

And last but not least his parents and family are rich.

Didn't Danica finish 8th at Daytona this year? Don't know much about racing but that's pretty impressive if you ask me.

[h=1]Why Tim Tebow is the most-successful Heisman quarterback since 1987[/h]
A look at how Heisman quarterbacks have fared in the NFL playoffs.

The Heisman Trophy is the most coveted individual award in college football, but it doesn’t always translate to success in the NFL. Heisman-winning quarterbacks have had an especially tough time at the next level. Since 1987, 16 quarterbacks have won the Heisman Trophy. Of those, only one (!) has gone on to win a playoff game as a starter.

Of the 16 Heisman quarterbacks since 1987, four have not taken a snap in the NFL. Charlie Ward decided to play basketball and went on to a 12-year NBA career. Eric Crouch and Jason White didn’t pan out in the NFL. And then there’s Johnny Manziel, who is still at Texas A&M.
Seven of the last 16 Heisman quarterbacks (Andre Ware, Ty Detmer, Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Troy Smith, Tim Tebow and Robert Griffin III) reached the NFL Playoffs. Andre Ware, Chris Weinke and Troy Smith were members of playoff-winning teams, but didn’t start in those games. Carson Palmer is the only player on the list to make repeat trips to the playoffs, reaching the postseason with the Bengals in 2006 and 2010.
That leaves Tim Tebow — the only quarterback who has won a Heisman since 1987 and gone on to win a playoff game as a starter in the NFL. Tebow’s win came when the Broncos beat the Steelers on Jan. 8, 2012. He was 10-of-21 for 316 yards, including an 80-yard bomb on the first play of overtime to beat the defending AFC champs.
