Atlanta's Starting Pitcher Tim Hudson will once again try for 200 wins tonight at Turner Field in Atlanta as the Braves and Nationals battle for position in the NL East. Hudson sits on 199 career wins after getting shelled in Pittsburgh and looked to be in good shape to finally chalk up the milestone in his pitching career in Colorado, but a Braves Bullpen let down in the ninth inning spoiled the celebration. Hudson 2-1 4.50 ERA has not won since earlier this month beating the Nationals in Washington DC and is 0-1 giving up nine Runs 15 Hits and three HR's in ten Innings Pitched in his last two starts contrasted against his 1.32 ERA in his first two games of the season. Hudson lost both outings at Turner Field last season vs. Washington but is 15-5 2.60 ERA in 27 starts in this matchup. Hudson may not have to contend with Jayson Werth who is questionable for tonight after a hard foul ball off the foot from last night may keep him out of the lineup tonight. Werth was .385 with four doubles 3 HR's and 15 hits vs Hudson Werth's highest numbers vs any opponent pitcher. Bryce Harper is 3 for 12 vs Hudson and only 2 for 14 with a HR in the four games with Atlanta this season. Gonzalez is 2-1 4.50 ERA and gave up seven Earned Runs the last time out when pitching vs. Atlanta. Gonzalez is coming out a great outing however where he pitched eight innings only giving up a HR and no other hits in a win over Cincinnati. Gonzalez is 2-3 6.08 ERA in five career starts vs. Atlanta the most defeats by any opponent. With a win tonight, Hudson will be inducted into an elite Braves Fraternity that holds such members as John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and Phil Niekro. Hudson will be also included in a list of active pitchers with 200 wins along with Andy Pettitte and Roy Halladay. The Lights will be on, the camera's will be rolling and the action will be fierce on the field as Hudson tries again for the Atlanta and MLB Record Books. BOL Huddy. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.

Braves worst statistic is ranking first in NL with 9.4 K's per game but best statistic is ranking first in NL in Runs Allowed at 3.3 per game. Nationals are third from the bottom with 7.8 Hits per game in NL and have only scored 14 runs in four straight losses in Atlanta. The Over is 8-2 in Hudson's Last 10 vs Washington and Over is 14-4 in Washington's Last 18 Road Games even though the total went under last night. Werth's possible absence tonight takes some punch out of Washington's lineup who has struggled with a 2-4 SU Last Six Road Games Record Overall. Atlanta 7-2 SU Home Record and have won eight straight overall vs. Washington.

Gonzalez may have found his groove again after his last performance and should be tough tonight vs. Atlanta even with his high career numbers in this matchup. Gonzalez should get his share of K's tonight especially with Atlanta's strikeout problems. Hudson should keep the ball down tonight getting ground ball outs and Werth not in the lineup is one less danger Hudson will have to face. Even though the trend in this game is over the secondary focus today is Under 7 1/2 -135 small looking for K's and ground balls. The primary focus today is a no play and just watching a NL East Division Rival Game hoping Hudson reaches his 200th win.

Atlanta has got four runs off Gonzalez through the fourth. Hudson with a no hit shut out going. All things are looking like Huddy might get it this time around.

Tim Hudson gets a solo HR on his big night as Braves really taking it to the Nationals 8-1 through five. Way to go Huddy as tonight will be a night fans will remember for a long time to come.
