If you like the idea of permanently marking yourself as a wage monkey trying to earn more bananas, by all means get that tattoo of your company’s logo. A New York realtor is taking brand marketing to literal (and painful) new lows: raises for any employee who gets a tat of the company’s logo. Anthony Lolli, the owner of Rapid Realty, pays for each of the $300 tats, though he hasn’t gotten around to getting one himself just yet. For workers feeling less-than-secure in a still-sluggish economy where stagnant wages are the norm, the tattoos are a seemingly painless (and meritless) way to earn more dough. Dance, monkeys, dance. Isn't that just the cost of the ink , which the company pays for ?

The $300 is just the cost of the tattoo. The result is a 15% raise.

Though there is zero chance that my company would do this, I would be first in line if they did. I could retire 2-3 years earlier with that big of a raise.

A very conservative estimate of a 15% bump in pay for me would result in an additional 150K in pay if I work until I'm 60. In reality, it would be closer to 200K.
