Tonite we get to watch the best boxer alive. He is the best boxer I've ever seen live (on tv). Mayweather is the best, he's always been the best, and it's never ever been close. I expect a one sided fight. People keep telling me Guerrero can hit him very hard. I doubt he will but for argument's sake let's say it happens. If you've actually watched Guerrero fight (don't believe any of these people have) he does hit hard. He doesn't hit nearly as hard as Cotto, Mosley, or even Hatton in my opinion. No one will land a harder, more accurate shot than Mosley put on him, and Floyd didn't lose a round after that. If you hate Mayweather that's fine, if you think Guerrero has some value then play him, but otherwise you have to be on Floyd or it's a no play. I don't think Floyd will lose before he retires unless he fights Canelo. I'm not a fan of what Floyd does outside the ring or the way he chooses to live his life, but I cannot begin to describe how much I respect his abilities. He is incredible to watch and I don't think he will show signs of aging. Hate the juice, waited it out, got as good a price as you can ask for. Honestly I don't see any reason it is this low but I still hate laying it.

Mayweather to win 575/100
Mayweather by decision 240/150

Also, I think we see a decent undercard. One of my favorites and a very underrated fighter goes. I like Ponce De Leon. I've bet before as a dog and cashed and will be betting him tonite as a dog. He is a great boxer and I think he will showcase some power. This is a great opportunity for him to get a main event with a good showing. I think he comes out swinging.
Ponce De Leon to win 100/170
Ponce De Leon by TKO/KO/DQ 50/225

Finally, I don't like betting unders very often in this sport but I have to in Santa Cruz/Munoz. I think Santa Cruz gets a highlight reel KO here. I really wish I could shave a couple rounds off it and get a better price.

Santa Cruz/Munoz under 8.5 140/100

Good luck tonite. Think this should an entertaining night. I could very easily lose most of my bankroll here with not a huge return if I win. I hate nights like this, I look for dogs and value but I feel like I'm putting myself in the best position I can. Enjoy the fights.

I'm not against anything you posted except that you think Canelo can beat Floyd. Canelo has some of the poorest footwork and balance in the sport

I agree with you to a point. It's very bad when he is moving back and when he is trying to counter. He gets very little on his counter punches. His footwork isn't great when he is moving forward, but as awkward as it is he seems to have some balance. I don't know how that's possible but he gets a lot on his punches when he attacks. I think because he swings from his heels it throws off his footwork. The reason I'd give him a decent chance is because he has so much power and he attacks more than anyone else Floyd would see at welterweight or 154. Not saying Canelo would win but I'd have my money on him.

I'm at the point where I'm going to start fading the top-end heavy favs who are in their mid 30's. Sergio Martinez the main example. I struggle to bet against Floyd b/c I don't think he'll ever put himself in a fight he'll lose. He is too fragile and wants that -0 on his legacy. It's his claim to the throne, in his own mind.

maybe De Leon should try to learn how to throw a right hook

Absolutely, I can't say he would have won if he had it because Mares looked very good.

As far as the night as a whole I thought the big surprise to me was how a judge had it 97-92 Love. I thought Rosado won the fight, if you had it Love by a point or 2 that's fine, it was a close fight but how can you come up with 97-92. Other surprise was how much power Mares came with. Thought it was kind of a quick stoppage, althought I had Mares clearly winning the fight. PDL needs to stop being so 1 dimensional. Floyd was Floyd. Probably the best boxer I'll ever see. Enjoyed the card, boxing needs more events like this as I thought 7 of the 8 fighters can be main event type guys.

3-2 +200 on the night
24-19 +2,065 (but at least 3 of the wins were juice over -200)
