It doesn't help much to give picks without giving write-ups, but there are so many games in a baseball season I don't have time to write them all up. I'll just discuss real quick how I make my picks every day and hopefully that's good enough. I go to http://espn.go.com/mlb/probables every day to check out the pitchers. That page shows the probables and their season, home/away, and last 3 starts. Pretty useful tool. Then I look at the offensive numbers for the team my pitcher is on. I also check the bullpen usage from the previous game. I usually narrow it down to between 5-7 picks in a given day. Other things I take into consideration are the weather, streak, injuries, next game, and the eye ball test. Sometimes I don't care how good the numbers look, I just won't bet on a bad team, or a team that's playing bad. I also look at the batter vs pitcher stats to see who has (in theory) the offensive advantage. After all that, if the price is right, it's a play. Everyone has their own way, and that's my way.
