Looks like Terry Francona is turning it around. Indians are 7-1 in their last 8 and averaging 7.1 runs per game during that stretch. Tonight, their starter Zach McAllister is 2-1 with a 2.95 ERA in home games. He faces Milone, whose road ERA is 6.70. Milone has given up 4 HR in his last 20 innings, and that's not good for him tonight because he faces the top HR-hitting team in the MLB. The Indians have hit 23 HR in only 14 home games. It's also bad for Milone that he is a lefty, because the Indians feast on lefties this year. Every player in their line-up except Cabrera and Kipnis is hitting better than .275 vs lefties. And Cabrera is .333 vs Milone (LOL). Milone had some success against the Indians last year, but you cannot compare that dreadful team under Manny Acta to this year's team under Francona that can go two games above .500 tonight.
I like the fact that the A's are without Coco Crisp tonight; he has a .283 average with 5 HRs. His bat and stolen bases will be missed. In fact, it's been obvious. The A's are only batting .219 vs righties in their last 10 games, and they are 3-7 in their last 10 road games.
Money Stat: Zach McAllister has not allowed more than 3 ER in any game this year.
