New York Yankees vs. Colorado Rockies

Both of the first two games have been low scoring games founded on solid pitching from starters and relievers as well as untimely hitting from both squads. Both teams have combined to go 3-20 with RISP. Today's pitching match-up shouldn't be any easier along with a cold and cloudy forecast.

Sabathia will get the nod for the Yankees. He has been struggling a bit of late for his standards, however he still boast a 3.31 ERA & 1.27 WHIP. Michael Cuddyer is hitting .200 in 55 plate appearances against Sabathia. CarGo Helton, and Torrealba are a combined 5-26 vs. the big man. Tulowitzki will sit yet again weakening what is normally a strong lineup.

The Yankees who come in last in the AL vs. lefties hitting .215 will take on Jeff Francis. Robinson Cano, Vernon Wells, Ben Francisco, and Lyle Overbay are a combined 4-22 vs. Francis. The one guy on the Yankee roster who isn't on the DL with good splits is Ichiro, who is actually sitting today. With both bullpens in strong form I expect runs to be a premium in Coors Field today. The always high number will help us out here.
