I live in NYC but would like to put big money down on NFL,NBA,MLB,etc. About 20K per

NFL game. I don't want to deal with a local bookie because i dont think they can

handle that much action so I'd like to bet in Vegas.

Without flying there each week, What are my legitimate options?
Also, I will never trust runners (messenger bets).

I think the above is False... unless you mean you Don't trust a local to Pay.

Plenty of guys in the biz that can handle the action... you just need to find the right one.

spread your bankroll around to 5 or more online books and you should be able to get down on as much action as you like <><>

dangerous option -- these online books cant be trusted with large amount of funds -- even if you spread it around.

Do you guys know about the new law where wagers can be put online to the Vegas casinos as long as you are a resident or living in Nevada (forget which). In any event, what if I put a server in Nevada and routed my orders through there? Any issue with wager size?

many a gambler has asked the question, "how do i get around the wire act?"

you need to have your money in Vegas but you can't tell Vegas how you want to wager it unless you are physically in Vegas. any transmission of your wagering information into Vegas from outside of Vegas is a no no.

that's why guys set up offshore books, there was a time when it was thought if your money was offshore you could send your wagering intentions offshore and no one would be in violation of the wire act (ask JC) anyway more laws have been passed since then cracking down on money movement.

most bettors circumvent US sports betting laws because the laws are written to stop the bookies and not the bettors.

if you want to live in NYC and bet 20 large on games you'll either have to move to vegas or just break the law.

good luck

You don't trust runners but you trust posters?

Find it hard to believe that if you bet that much money you don't have any outs....

How long have you been betting 20K a game?

I guarantee that there are books in NY that can handle $20k. I agree with Murphy that if you don't have confidence in one book, spread your $20k between a number of. Seems alittle odd that a guy that's been around here since 2006 hasn't got these answers himself. Good luck.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the info, really appreciate it.
I found one bookie in NYC that can take large action (50K per gm) and like some people recommended, I would like to diversify with other books. Havent found others just yet.
I suppose I feel more confident with the casinos as they cannot get up and run. That being said, i'm contemplating some sort of insurance against the locals. Kinda doubt any firm would write this contract but i'll look into it.

Thanks again for the info.

You also have to remember that the 'Local' taking your wagers are gambling on You to pay... works Both ways here...

because doesn't sound like He will be taking Up front money.

You think a insurance company will write you a policy ?? on your gambling ?? Hope that was a Joke

I'll also agree with VD, if you are that type of gambler .... you should have a few Outs already.
$20K per gamblers don't really Pop out of thin air.

Question .... You don't happen to be in the construction business ? do you ?

waste management more likely

no, it's not on that level... lol

I just know a guy who use to have a player that's in the construction business. He had a disagreement and parted ways.
He was at this level ... so just thought it was a long shot that he came here to a Sports gambling forum.
