Should players/parents have a say in the hiring of a new Head High School Football Coach?

I say no way but there's a situation going on close to where I live where parents are actually serving on the hiring board and they are actually asking the players for their input on who to hire.

In my opinion, the AD should advertise the position and hire who he/she feels is the most qualified candidate end of story.

Thoughts?

Chop, I think this guy has no nuts. It's almost like he can't make a decision on his own and is bowing to the pressure of parents to be involved in the process.

Parents atleast far too many always wanna stick their noses in and they should have no input in this process or who gets hired what so ever. This AD is making a big mistake and you can see this opening up a can or worms and costing him his job which is likely what needs to happen.
