The Atlanta Braves Justin Upton called Chase Field in Arizona Home for six MLB seasons, but tonight Upton will be in the opposite dugout across from his old team. Upton was the overall number one pick in 2005 for Arizona and had 67 RBI's in last season for the Diamondbacks. Since being traded over to Atlanta, Upton is .608 in slugging with 12 HR's but has ot hit a long ball since April 27th. Upton will try and help a Braves squad come out of an offensice slump where they only scored four runs off 14 hits in losing three of the last four with San Fransico this weekend. Arizona has had scoring problems as well losing two with 11 runs over the last five and a 2 for 32 with Runners In Scoring Position. Goldschmidt has 9 HR's and 30 RBI's but Prado who came over from Atlanta in the Upton trade has a career worse .230 average and is hitless in four of his last six. Minor is 3-2 2.96 ERA and only gave up one run in seven Innings Pitched in his last outing. Miley is 3-1 2.93 ERA and allowed two runs in eight Innings Pitched in his last outing as well. Upton will look to get back on track offensively against his former team but Freeman has had the numbers in this matchup in the past with a .444 average, 3 HR's, 6 doubles and 13 RBI's in 12 games vs. Arizona. If Freeman can continue his production

If Freeman can continue his past production vs. Arizona and Upton can find a way to have a break out game vs. his former team, Atlanta will have took a step in the right direction in solving their offensive struggles. Atlanta has won eight of ten in this matchup and three of four in Arizona last season but will have to get it started with the bats tonight after the dismal offensive output in San Fransico. Atlanta had some errors in yesterday's game and will have to clean it up tonight not giving D Backs any extra opportunities. Not quite as a late start for East Coast Viewers as this past weekend with tonight about a half earlier at 9:40 EST.

Goldschmidt is second in NL in RBI's but Minor usually has good control so Arizona baserunners off BB's may be limited. Miley may be able to get through the Braves order on the first go round but maybe not through the second and third round with Freeman's numbers and Upton looking for a signature game vs. his old team. Today the focus will be Atlanta -110 looking for Minor to keep baserunners to a minimum and Braves with a better defensive game than yesterday. Goldschmidt H R RBI under 2 1/2 + 100 for a small prop rounds out the evening.

CONGRATS ON 100 RBIs

Atlanta's Justin Upton reached 100 RBIs for the first time in his career with a first-inning single. His previous best of 88 RBIs came in 2011 with Arizona.
