Once great NFL player as we know is in jail, but Im just thinking about this RECENT case. What really needs to be looked at is, all persons in the USA need to lock themselves away in their homes and know they are doomed forever.

Why???? I know its a controversial topic (the wife killing). But in the courts, he was found innocent and according to the US law, should be shut and done. I am adamant about this because, yes he could be INNOCENT as much as a lower maybe guity.

What I am knocking at this point is, how does a man get 33 years in jail, when he went to retrieve his own personal belongings and did not shoot, injure, murdered anyone. Persons shoot weapons, some even accessory and dont get 33 years.

and at his age, its a basic life sentence. Persons who are drug dealers etc dont get 33 years. If the system gonna work this way, I basically think the US citizens are in a whole lotta trouble where their freedom is concern. 33 years???????????

whats next, 15 years for jaywalking????

I agree. He should not have been jailed for this current charge. It was a witch hunt, at best.

of course serving 9-33 years is a B.S call... but I think the first 9 years is for being that STUPID to do what he did in the first place !!

no way does he do the full 33 years... as much as you would think they won't let him out on parole, he will

on a side note : Payback is a BITCH !

persons can call the "karma" and "payback" scenarios, Buttttttttttt, you have to realize, there is a system put in place to be FAIR and NON BIAS, for ALL, and that was compromised to the fullest, and as much as the other guy want to play God, and think WE WERE THERE AND KNOW THE DETAILS of the prior incident, does not give THE JUDGE, in this CASE, to give a judgement sooo unfair.

It leaves me to question any and all this judges decisions, and also remember, how can he be " on trial " for that past incident, this Judge of all people suppose to know thats a closed case and focused on the case at hand.

Thats no a payback or karma, thats a blatant corrupt and unjust american mechanism gone to hell, and ALL persons who have to face this Judge, guilty or not have no unbiased or fair person to deal with.

(I was not witness to O.J's past problem with his wife or otherwise, and I as much as the milllions who want to say hes guilty were not there or saw either, so, at this venture not gonna cast judgement on whats presented in the eye by the media or the courts, and as far as im concerned, thinking about this, now makes a person have to wonder about the SYSTEM

OJ should just be glad he wasnt put to death for the brutal murders he committed. He should thank his lucky stars that he got the stupidest jury in history. If there is a hell...he's going there...he can reunite with johnny cockroach and skunkhead kardashian down there.

One would have thought with as much self discipline OJ had a a younger man keeping himself in good physical condition, he would have had that regement carry over into his later years in private life before the legal troubles and even now locked up with access to work out equipement in the Corrections Facilties. Did OJ get lazy or has Father Time finally caught up with him? I think the biggest factor has been extreme stress and anxiety that lead to Simpson's aged appearance.

If the glove don't fit you must acquit. He got screwed on this charge no doubt, But he walked the earth a free man for like 15 years after he killed his ex wife and that poor guy Goldman. The guy has a wicked temper, He would have bursted sooner or later and most likely killed someone else.

I can't remember all of the details of this story. But wasn't there other charges involved like kidnapping? If I'm not mistaking, kidnapping can get you a life sentence. So OJ can probably count himself lucky for the 33 years with the possibility of parole in 9 years.

the kidnapping was a trumped up charge, it was because he held the guys in the room at Gun point :)
so they threw that in the mix.

He is a sociopath and a danger to society.

Charlie Manson never killed anyone and he is still locked up.

As it was stated earlier he was not there to retrieve his own items. The chargers carried the sentence that he was given.

Had OJ not been involved in the murder, he would have gotten at the most community service and probation, probably would have gotten dropped all together.

Like it or not, the manner in which he retrieved his property constitutes robbery according the the law. He's also on audiotape ordering his people to not let anyone leave the room; that, under the law, is kidnapping. Add to that the fact that he turned down a plea deal calling for much less jail time and I'd say he deserves all 33 years.
