Have learned this from experience and the experience of my peers.

The flipside is if you get a specific degree like engineering/medical. Then it is not useless

a degree that provides specific skills as apposed to a business, marketing, management,communications type degrees that everyone gets

For an example, a specific degree like accounting rather then a general one like business administration. When you graduate you have a certain skillset that companies are looking for

Um, isn't that the point of college? If you pay for and graduate from college without a skill-set that companies are looking for, then you are an idiot.

Unless, of course you didn't want a job in the first place.
