The Phils are 0-4 in home day games, while Cinci is 4-4 in day away games. I really don't want to take Philly. I'm not happy about it. But I had no choice. I literally didn't have a choice but to back this overpaid, flaky and lazy team.

The Phils are 6-2 in Kendrick's starts this year (3-1 at home), and they back him with 4.9 runs per game (6.25 in 4 home games). Meanwhile, poor Arroyo only gets 3 runs per game, and in his three road games Cinci only gave him 1 run each time. They don't back him. And on the road Cinci is hitting only .222 vs righties and scoring only 3.9 runs per game (until Arroyo pitches, then they score only 1).

Kendrick has allowed only 2 runs or less in seven straight starts. It is hard not to back that, even when it's the Phils. God knows I hate doing it.

But the Phils are 6-4 in their last 10 games, and that's was against some good teams: DBacks, Indians, and Giants. The Reds are not a good team on the road. And Arroyo has a 5.21 road ERA while going 0-3.

I don't like the fact that this game is in daylight; that favors Cinci because they play day games constantly and they perform better in it. But even with that, there's enough to like about the Phils today for me to hold my nose and pull the damn trigger.
