The Atlanta Braves will look to post a much needed sweep today with one more win against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Atlanta may very well get that win and improve on their 11-5 Home Record with Mike Minor drawing duty. Minor may be considered the Braves best starter dating back to last September going 9-2 2.05 ERA with an Opponent Average of . 186 during that stretch. Minor is 4-1 1.36 ERA in six home starts and has only allowed two runs in 14 Innings Pitched in his last two outings. Minor also has a career 2.37 ERA vs. LAD. Atlanta has hit 55 HR's on the season with Gattis and Simmons providing the deep balls last night in the late innings. Gattis is 3rd in MLB with six game winning RBI's to accompany his HR numbers. Johnson is 13 for 28 with three doubles, one triple, two HR's and eight RBI's, in last eight vs. LAD. Kemp remains a .174 hitter in Atlanta and is mired in a 0-21 slump in last five games. LAD will start Magill 0-0 6.92 ERA and has allowed eight runs and eight BB's in six Innings Pitched in two outings. The LAD Bullpen is 6.73 ERA in their last five road games losing four of five including last night after Capuano had gone into the eight inning with a shutout. Atlanta will be riding the momentum of last night's come from behind win while LAD has to be deflated and dejected. Atlanta has an excellent oppotunity to get the win and the sweep with Minor on the mound with his numbers at home and vs. LAD in this matchup. LAD have now lost five straight Road Games and their 6-11 Overall Road Record and may not improve this afternoon if Minor is as sharp as usual. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.
