After three come from behind wins over the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Atlanta Braves will remain at Turner Field and start an Interleague Series with the Minnesota Twins Monday Night. The Braves 25-18 outscored LAD 13-2 from the sixth inning on in the series and now have a three game win streak coming into tonight's game. Minnesota 18-22 have lost five in a row and have been outscored 33 -13 during the skid with Joe Mauer's 15 game hitting streak broken Sunday and going 1 for 9 with Runners In Scoring Position. Teheran for Atlanta is 2-1 4.57 ERA this season but has posted a 2.84 ERA in last four outings. Teheran has been improving with each start and has made progress in limiting BB's which hampered him early in the season. Teheran has never face Minnesota however and in his only start vs. an American League Opponent he allowed four runs in four innings vs. Toronto. Correia for Minnesota is 4-3 3.25 overall but was sharp early this seaon going 3-1 2.23 ERA in his first five outings. Correia however has posted a 5.71 ERA in three outings this month. Correia much like Capuano in the previous series has great numbers vs. Atlanta. Correia is 3-1 2.35 ERA in his last four outings vs. Atlanta as a Pittsburgh Pirate and will look to keep Atlanta guessing again tonight except in a Twins Uniform this time around. J. Upton is 3 for 18 in last five games and may continue to slump if Correia is as sharp tonight as in his previous starts vs. Atlanta. This pitching matchup may be under the radar with most of the focus being on Atlanta's sweep of LAD this weekend. It may take a couple of runs through the batting orders before any runs come across the plate in this Interleague Game tonight at Turner Field. Source: ESPN MLB Preview.

Atlanta's Relief Pitcher Eric O'Flaherty has been placed on the 15 day DL after a MRI revealed a torn ACL.

Here is a trend that takes you all the way around the block and then back to where you started. Minnesota is 2-6 Last 10 on Monday and Atlanta 2-7 Last Nine Interleague Home Games. See we are back where we started.

Teheran has never faced Minnesota but has a 2.84 ERA in his last four outings. Correia with a 2.35 ERA in his last four games vs. Atlanta. Today the focus will be Under 4 1/2 First Five Innings looking for both pitchers to have control limiting baserunners. Minnesota struggling to produce runs at the moment and Atlanta does have strikeout tendencies.

I am toast very early in this one. This is not the Correia I had expected allowing four runs in the first including a three run HR by Uggla. 4-0 after one and it is just a matter of time.

Damn almost pulled it off but fell short. 5-0 Atlanta after five complete innings. Too many runs it the first inning to really have a chance.
