This is the biggest tornado that I've seen since the F5 1999 tornado, which was considered the biggest of all time. They are showing it on CNN right now. The tornado is north of Norman in Moore right now.

This is a very populated district. I mean many many homes and businesses located within a 10 square mile area where this tornado is centered. This is going to do a lot of damage just because of how the city of Moore has grown in the last 5 years. I'm on the other side of town, which has already gotten hit yesterday. But I'm really concerned for some of my friends who live right in the path of this tornado. Of course I haven't been able to get through to them, even on their cell phones.

An entire grade school is completely gone. Only the foundations remain.. And this storm hit just as they would have been letting out. Hopefully they had some sort of undergound shelter.

This coverage is crazy. I can't even imagine how many lost their lives.

I just heard that oklahoma City is one of the most prepared areas in the country for this type of storm. Most people have a shelter of some sort. Damn, mile wide tornado.

This is a very serious situation, but I had to laugh when KFOR out of Oklahoma City interviewed a black guy named Lando.

I am no expert on disasters but the casualties have got to be massive here. The cars are piled up like toys. The buildings are rubble or gone.

I don't know what it is about Moore/South OKC and tornadoes, but it isn't called "Tornado Alley" for nothing. I'm not sure how much more these poor folks can take. They had 8,000 houses damaged or destroyed in the 1999 tornado. They then had the 2003 tornado that hit many of the same areas. So just as some of these residents had just completed rebuilding their new houses, they were destroyed again. This latest tornado swashed pretty much the same path. So some of these same people will have gotten hit yet again. The difference this time though is this tornado was much wider (2 miles wide) and so did much more damage than the previous worse tornado in Oklahoma history. I don't know if he was getting carried away in the moment or not, but KFOR weatherman Mike Morgan said the total destruction in Moore "is the worst in the history of the world."

WOW! Watching CNN now...Sooners, how many homes actually have bunkers/shelters would you say? Hopefully everyone (heard 6 dead so far?) survives, butif this was my 2nd or 3rd rebuild, the next one would be nowhere near Moore, OK or the Midwest.
