Just found out about this today and super pumped. My great grandfather was shot twice on D-day on Omaha Beach (he lived to tell about it, crawled into a fox hole, purple heart and sent home) and my family is going to Normandy to see where it happened.
I have never been to France (or europe at all). I'm a huge history, museum guy. Anyone ever been that could provide some advice on what to check out while I'm there?
